You should get Stationary Bike at Home! Here are the top 3 Reasons why.

I wrote on this blog sometime ago about my more-than-slight annoyance with guys at my gym. Now I’m not thinking of abandoning the gym altogether, but I’ve been looking at some ways that I can get my exercise in without stepping foot in there.

Enter my indoor/stationary bike! This has been a great way for me break a sweat without having to go to the gym. It’s especially useful on those cold winter mornings when it just doesn’t make sense to go outside for a run!

If you’ve got a spare corner in the living room, or a spot in the study that is just crying out for a piece of exercise equipment, there is no better choice than an indoor bike. Using a stationary bike at home is one of the best things you can do for your health, and it has a number of other benefits for your life, too. 1. You Have No Excuses Not to Work Out

You know how it is; you want to do a workout but it’s raining really hard outside, you don’t have the time to drive to the gym, or it’s really late and the gym is closing soon. In these situations if you did not have an indoor cycle you would probably skip the workout and lose the opportunity to boost your health and fitness.

With an indoor cycle you simply have to go to the next room, where it’s dry and warm and where you can fit in a quick workout whenever you have the time, at whatever time of the day or night. Your excuses to skip a workout just disappear.

You may already have an established exercise routine, for example running or swimming. However, it is always a good idea to switch things up a bit from time to time.

You can’t do the same cardio routines (or the same types of fitness exercises e.g. strength, endurance etc.) time and time again as:

  2. Your body starts to relax into the exercises, and
  3. You end up not working as hard.

Use the stationary bike at home to inject a little variety into your routine. The best thing about the bike is that you can fit a little variety into the routine whenever it is convenient.

Using an indoor bike is great for the targeted workout of the muscles in the lower body. If you have a goal to increase strength or muscle definition in the legs then cycling is ideal. I guess that’s pretty obvious.

However, not only is indoor cycling ideal for building strength and endurance in the lower body, but you also enjoy upper body benefits too! Let’s especially no forget your core – engaging your core while cycling promotes better health and stability as well as helps shift abdominal fat.

And of course, cycling is ideal for losing weight. You burn hundreds of calories with a workout, depending on how fast or intense you go.
